"Doom Gone Medieval"
Why am I writing about Heretic on a Doom site? Heretic is very similar to Doom. It came out shortly after Doom 2. This page compares and contrasts Heretic and Doom.
Differences between Heretic and Doom:
*Heretic has better graphics
*In Heretic, you can look up and down
*Heretic has a Medieval theme
*In Heretic, you have an inventory
*Heretic has separate episodes, like Doom 1
 
For every weapon in Heretic, there is one a lot like it in Doom. There are a lot less enemies in Heretic than in Doom 2. In Heretic, you have an inventory. This makes the game much funner and easier. When you get an item, you can hold onto it until you want to use it. In Doom, you use an item as soon as you get it.
Heretic never got nearly as popular as Doom. It is pretty much just Doom with a lot of improvements. Heretic is a must-have for any Doom fan.
